My name is Bryan Barkley, and I’ve always had a passion for art. I grew up in Sacramento and have never felt the need to leave my hometown—this is where my roots are. Although I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, I didn’t pursue tattooing professionally until I met James Hanna. In February 2023, James offered me an apprenticeship under him, and since then, I’ve been working day and night to grow into a versatile tattoo artist. While I enjoy working in many styles, my favorites include American Traditional, Japanese Traditional, Neotraditional, etching, small realism, blackwork, and black and grey. My artistic influences draw heavily from Japanese traditional art, fantasy, and nature.
